24th November 2021 - Rain stops play...

Thought for the day :"Spent £50 on a large belt that did not fit. What a huge waist!!"

Day started very nicely with a chilly (though not freezing) and sunny morning. It was actually a delight to go and let the Chickens out.

The day soon deteriorated into mizz and then later heavy rain..

But I took the trailer to Cardigan to get some more fairy lights for the stage / performance area  - too wet to put them in!!
But dropped into Tesco and bought some stuff that was probably needed and then to Beulah to the feed garage and collected 5 pallets - which were too wet to do anything with other than take them off the trailer.

Very wet to put the Chickens away - but the good news was that when Susie found that Sooty had laid 18 eggs in a nest in the undergrowth - they ended up in the incubator...

Turns out tonight that 16 are fertile!!  We shall see what happens when they hatch!

Intended to have a Tavern night tonight with Malcolm and Gloria - but the weather was a little foul so we suggested trying nest week instead. The Proseco will keep and the stage may be further completed...  Next step is to panel the back of the stage and put the lights in place.

Temperature is dropping again - but Boss Lady "Pip" will be visiting tomorrow...

Cheers !
