27th October 2021 - Completing the Ty Bach

Thought for the day :"I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island – but it was only an optical Aleutian"

PCR tests all prove negative so it appears that we escaped this time!!

After a few days of sitting on our backsides (comparatively) today was an activity day for a change.

Susie went out and fixed the toilet in place in the Ty Bach shed - with a few hiccoughs. But now it is fixed in place and power has been fed to it from the tavern. Also added an additional interior light as we now have power to the building.

Decided that it was muddy on the path - so put down some plastic frames and started filling with gravel.
Once again - that will be a job to be done over a few days as I have already dug the soakaway and the pipework into the ground.

Before pictures - this will be the soakaway - Toby is supervising of course..

and these are the pipes that will have to go underground..

as digging is tiring - a break every ten minutes to put some frames down

And the passageway is ready to take the gravel

So forgot to take a photo of the hole - so this is the soak-away after it has been filled with plastic and gravel and the top soil replaced ..  Honest !!

Pipework all dug into the ground and hidden from view.

And so it is time to start the gravel filling

As far as I got in one day ..
Still quite pleased with the progress..

So other than the pathway - all is done after a full day.

Susie made home made mozzarella cheese for salad this evening and home made soup for potato celery and leek from the garden. Delicious and very filling...

In other news - saw this and chuckled - from the Aberystwyth Tourist Board - or maybe the Rail service..

And so

GREEN ONE OCTOBER DAY 27 - a Bony One

Cheers !
