Thought for the day :"I am beginning to think that “Hindsight is 20-20” was a warning from a future time traveler we never understood!"
So, we started the day with a group of Red Kites flying and decided to try some chicken livers on the feeding perch - no luck. red Kites prefer the open land for what they do - I am sure that we are too near the house and too wooded for them - a pity - but we can persevere into the winter and see...
Meanwhile, Susie decided to test the spring water - still a little cloudy - not what we remember from when we were first here - but one of the thoughts is that the logging being done above the site is affecting the water course... but it settles quite quickly and we can always filter it...
So - down to the testing ...

Hardness - middle - Chlorine - zero
Just have to wait 48 hours for the bacteriological test .. But looking good
In other news - The Drunken Monk Teddies finally made it up to Ffynnon Wen..
They may have had a tipple at the door...
Having some problems with Vic's Landline - been engaged for three days - reported to BT so we will see what happens. Visited today though and sadly we all have wear masks even outside, but he seems to be settling. Arranging new procedures with the staff. Forgot to take his pills for next week ( they do not want to have more than one week at a time as the medicine cabinets are not very big. Will call in the morning to check how many more he has - may be a quick journey there tomorrow morning.
Finally cleared the wood from the garden machinery shed - will look at leveling tomorrow.
