10th September 2020 - Start on the Tavern, and Some Chicks

We made a decision not to head to Llanelli today, though we had booked a Dump appointment. Susie was feeling much better but I think an extra day was called for.

I took the opportunity to start on the Tavern - only clearing for the future, mainly aiming to get enough room to empty the trailer of the Tavern Boxes, but also taking the opportunity to disassemble many of the wooden strange items that surround the workshops. It is Clear that "victor" was a fastidious artist at his work and we continually find items for which purpose we have no idea but beautifully crafted... 

I have a box of them in case one day I find some plans..

Indeed, today we found the original scale plans for the building of the extension at the house.

I took a video for posterity - the view of the Tavern as I started the concept..

We put some food on the Kite Feeder, but though there were 7 in the tree watching us none came down. We shall see what happens in the future. 

Susie extended the Duck / Chicken run today with some extra stock fencing so they have access to grass again - for a while - until they trample again. But they seem to be doing well.

Bluebell the local Chicken is proving to be a great mother to the 4 chicks.

The other 12 eaters are also growing steadily...

Back to Carmarthen tomorrow for Susie to see the eye specialist to see if the ulcer on her retina has been cured. - Booked a collection at Tesco and a trip to see Vic is scheduled for the afternoon - though if it stays dry I shall hope to get out on the mower tomorrow as the grass is getting excessive again...
