Thought for the day:"Vlad The Impaler had an asthmatic cousin - Chad The Inhaler"
Trip to Carmarthen for Susie to see the Opti-Specialist about the ulcer on her eye - all clear - about a week and she can start using her contact lenses again ...
May have done a little shopping as well !!!
Not my fault - I was meant to be supervised but was in bad company instead...

May have bought a high Lopper and Saw for high branches, and a fine pair of Secateurs, Might have bought some steel toe working boots for more money than I have ever spent on a pair of shoes in the past - but to be fair - my feet are hurting a lot at the moment without the extra support - I am standing a lot of time and wellies are not very reinforcing.
Susie may have bought some "sale" peppers, and some late vegie seeds - she is determined to get some veg in even thought it is a bit late in the year.
And so - of course we needed some seeding compost....
And a new Jam pan!!! We are on induction now and the old pan will need to be on the old gas burners which we probably will use - but for the current situation we need something to get on with - Honest !
And a Sledgehammer !! well we lost our last one with the tavern.... and we need to start splitting logs - and we have splitters - just needed the sledgehammer - honest!
Quick visit to Vic and he seems to be settling down well with the new care package - though he confided that he thinks that they are bullying him - but they want to try some new foods for him and are asking for a mop and brush to clear the flat - so I am happy to let them get on with it...
Back to Ffynnon Wen and it was dry enough to get the Wolf Garten Go-Kart out to cut the grass.
2 hours and the job was done - like the little machine though it was struggling with the wet ground a few times. Changed the pond water for the ducks and collected blackberries for the Peacocks....
A successful day methinks!
In other news, Wales starts a maximum 6 people regime on Monday - though only for inside apparently. But Masks are compulsory for shops from Monday too..
They were just about to let us visit in the day time one at a time - but now we are back to outside visits.
I think it is going to get worse before it gets better..
Oh well ..
Cheers !
