Thought for the day:"My neighbour froze himself to -273.15°C. I asked him if he was 0K."
Blessed with sun today. A warm Sunday and we decided to stay at home.
Did another run over the lawns - bringing them down to 50mm which I think is about as low as the uneven ground will allow on the go-kart cutter.
Emptied the Trailer and stacked the boxes into the "tavern" area. There is still a lot of room which is good for the next journeys.
Made a start on the roof of the Machine Shed filling the gap with one of the perspex roofing sheets. May require the waterproof tape when it finally arrives, to complete the job and make it fully waterproof. Took the opportunity to clear the gutters while there.
Worked on Log splitting with the sledgehammer and splitter - and cleared a second log. One more in the machine shed to clear. Then we can start thinking about getting the cement mixer working.
Chicks doing well and growing fast. Susie completed the extension to the duck compound and they all seem very happy with the access to the extra grass at the moment - not sure how long it will last.
In clearing the trailer I managed to get out the mermaids. These were table holders that have lived in our office/ living room in 41 for many years. They are resin so will be capable of staying outside. We have the idea that one of the cabins int he future will be a "Mermaid" Cabin and we can use the tables on the veranda - but in the meantime I think that they needed a holiday.
We took a walk down by the springs which are very full at the moment. The water is incredibly clear. But Susie showed me the bridge and waterfall that she has found by the lower spring....

So, I think it is Beer O'Clock!!
Just a reminder that the rule of 6 applies from tomorrow ...
Cheers!
