5th April 2023 - Getting the beer ready.

Thought for the day :"Sadly we’ve lost some of our local businesses recently. The bra shop has gone bust"

So today is mainly about starting to prepare for the forthcoming Easter weekend..

Mantle Brewery this morning for the beer - 3 kegs on this occasion and a fall back of 72 bottles

We are going for our favourite Cwrw Teifi and on this occasion we are trying the spring ale Hwyl Haf.

Not sure if this is the same Hwyl Haf that we used to get from Glamorgan ales when we were still mobile in the field...

Putting the kegs into place 

   

and covers on 

And the Easter Egg hunt with 70 Creme Eggs and a special 

Susie's idea is to preboil real eggs and hide them around the garden and then the kids can come and claim a chocolate egg in place of their found egg.

We will have one Golden Egg which is for the big prize.

That way we can reuse the eggs if required..

We aim to have it on Sunday Afternoon

 

And pump clips onto the kegs..

And cider from the box.

Also bought today - mixed crisps for sale and peanuts for the tables...

Also some Gin and tonic and more lemonade.

Clearing the tavern and sweeping it out tomorrow ..

Sadly weather was wet again today - looking at the weather forecast there may be a mixed weekend rather than the sunny bright one that we were hoping for 

we shall see.
