Thought for the day :"Sadly we’ve lost some of our local businesses recently, The bedding store has debunked "
Pinned Post - 16th April 2023The 16th of the month again - which is our monthly anniversary of both the offer to buy and the date that we moved into the house (February 2020 and July 2020), and so much has happened in that time.
Originally Susie was going to be the gardener and vegetable raiser, and I would think about putting a Tavern together, and re-build my music studio and lock myself away to work on guitar and singing.
Well, Farmer Jesse and Doris is what we really got down to me even having my own little area in the lower quarter where my own beds of plants are developing nicely.
We managed the Tavern - we have had seven open weekends so far - culminating this month in the Easter Opening and so far we have raised £2,100 for local charities with an additional 25% through Gift Aid, and I am now applying for the license for the Coronation weekend.
Susie has her Polytunnel as well as her greenhouse and we are working on the raised beds in that, and now in mid April we are beginning to see the glory that is the flowering of Azalea, Rhododendrons, and Magnolia, and more are coming out now despite losing some bushes to the harsh frosts early.
The next couple of months are a real time for visiting and we enjoy showing people around and have options for staying.
We look forward to more people making the journey and joining us her in our little corner of Wales.
