2nd March 2023 - Storage Done - Nancy's House on Market

Thought for the day :"You can boil the funny bone to make laughing stock - I think that is humerus"

Tarpaulin arrived so had the opportunity to finish the new storage shed area... and took the opportunity to clear one of the compost bins - and the soil was very good and put it into another bin...

Meanwhile Susie has ben doing the painting in the house. She has finished the guest bathroom and the guest bedroom so all getting brighter. Decision made not to do the kitchen or the main living room until we don't need the fires lit any more. It seems pointless to paint and then allow the soot and smoke to spread.

Possibly will look at the passage between the kitchen and living room.

Weather forecast seems to be suggesting that we are going to have a very cold spell on the way next week - we shall be ready to hunker down.

Grass is beginning to grow but still far to wet to do anything about it. Will see how it goes during the week but I would like the lawns to be even again. Also working on the lower quarter, and trying to clear the hardcore from the new flower beds - and using the bricks to start the firepit. Still looking for seating around the firepit - and also identified some places for seating on the pathway looking down onto the camping area of the lower quarter. Plans for the future.

Have a new sound bar (actually a double blue tooth sound bar) which works nicely on USB stick so had a special offer from Amazon today for 5 x 64GB USB sticks for £18 and free next day postage.....
Will try them out later so I have mobile music... Batteries are meant to last at least 4 hours - and there are two of them!  So should have up to 8 hours - and I only work three!

Also had 50m 16amp reinforced cable delivered so I can wire up Susie's Greenhouse without using the extension reel and also pass power to the Yurt ...  Need to find another breaker circuit which I know is in the shed somewhere - so once I clear some of the boxes and cases we should be able to get on with it...

New Humidifier seems to be working well and still taking moisture form the air...
Will check Octopus tonight and see what we have used during the last two weeks of February in the way of power. But whatever it is - we spent several thousand on the yurt so any spending to keep it in good condition is money well spent..

In other news, Nancy put her house on the market today - and is getting her survey done the same day for the new house...

Cheers !
