Thought for the day:"thousands of pounds worth of equipment stolen from the police canine unit. Detectives say they have no leads."

So Back to the Court of Castell Penfro...
I was rather touched by a letter of thanks I received after the efforts over the weekend from an old colleague and friend..
Dear Iain
I want to let you know how much I enjoyed the ceremonies
of Progression and Consecration for the Court of Castell Penfro. I have been to many Masonic gatherings in my
time in Freemasonry as you will be aware.
I will not mince my words as - I have never seen anything which has come
anywhere near to the perfection of both ceremonies. Your personal commitment knowledge and
delivery of ritual could not possibly have been outperformed by anyone. It was truly inspirational. Those brethren who missed or did not attend really have no idea of what
they failed to witness. Being surrounded
by so many other committed brethren was also truly spectacular. I very much
hope that I will be able to make a valuable contribution in the time to
come. I think it might be a little
easier than those degrees I attend in Llanelli - only insofar as travelling is
concerned under my present circumstances.
Thank you so much for everything that you did to make the
occasions such a pleasure.
My best wishes
And then last evening I got a phone call from a Chris Ansell. My BT Guardian phone screens all callers - so it just announced "Chris Ansell" . Well it was a name I knew - but I couldn't really place it so I accepted the call and said "Hello Chris! " as is my wont.....
As the conversation continued - I worked out where I knew the name from ...
He is the Head of the Knights of the Scarlet Mantle, and the call was to invite me to be promoted to Knight of the Scarlet Mantle - sadly in April is the night of the first Court meeting of Pembroke Dock - so once again I will have to wait until October
But some photos from the weekend have come through ...
