17th April 2023 - Making a seat and the Lower Quarter

Thought for the day :"Sadly we’ve lost some of our local businesses recently, the garden centre has lost the plot"

It stayed mainly dry today - and there is meant to be a few days of sun to allow me to dry the lawns out and get on with some clearing - the Himalayan Balsam is sprouting and needs clearing before it gets a grip. The lower quarter is still too damp to get down for cutting.

So jobs for today - painted the repaired bench which needed extra support and after two 20 stone people sat on it over Easter

Down in the Lower Quarter the blue bell glade is coming forth ...

and my little flower bed in the Lower Quarter

The Flags
The Giraffes

Sadly the walkway is now in need of  repair and will need to be ripped up soon .. Though we have other tasks as well

But today's main task was to get a seat made for the roadside near Wyn's woodland where 'Thena goes walkabout - need another for the bridge sometime as well but this was good enough for one day..
And so we start with a pallet

Not the greatest but does the job and no-one is likely to steal it from there

Meanwhile - Susie has started planting her Dahlias in the polytunnel

Jobs tomorrow - start moving some boxes into the new store and start on the raised beds in the Polytunnel

Also have my first interview with a life coach - that will be interesting,,,

Cheers !
