6th April 2023 - Towards a Tavern

Thought for the day :"Sadly we’ve lost some of our local businesses recently, the watch-menders has called time"

Spent the day preparing for the Easter weekend. Incidentally I note that on this day last year it snowed!
However today was mainly slightly damp and wet until afternoon but time enough to walk the dogs and get some pictures of the rhododendrons and azaleas as they start to flower - the bluebells should be out properly over the weekend but are still a little sparse. The tulips  in the lower quarter are almost out.

Fairy Lights have been strung down the lane and tested so they are ready for tomorrow.

Susie has been boiling and dying eggs for the egg hunt for Sunday which will be swapped for Chocolate eggs and the single Gold Egg to be swapped for the Large egg ..

Aiming to get that done at 3pm on Sunday ..

And finally the tables are out and the stage is set .. also have new tables and some more seating 

Also found an old table (Nancy will remember it - I think she painted it as a school project to be Mondrian) - the top was so far gone that I repainted it and put a Crimson Moon Logo on it - but it will be exactly the right size for use in the Tavern

So - just need to get the sound system working tomorrow morning and I think that we are ready to go
