Well, last month I expressed the hope that I would not be tied to the same subject matter, the progress on the house, but seven week in and the work is continuing. Sadly as with all building jobs, it takes a lot longer to prepare and repair before managing to do anything to tidy up and finish the job.

But we have been taking it slowly and one problem at a time. This too shall pass and the Castle is now taking shape quite nicely.

Dave is hoping that he should be able to finish enough of the pine end and the main buttress work before we open the Tavern on the 1st November for Halloween celebrations.

I am sure that he and Rhys will tidy things up well so we can get customers in. Still dodging rain and bad weather and the year is getting further into winter - but we will do what we can.

Now scheduling for German Friends to come and visit for the next summary on the 16th November ... Fingers crossed

Didn't post any pictures of the electrical installation yesterday - so here they are ...

And out walking today - found this monstrosity by the road. Must be a foot high !

 

Off to St Elli installation in Llanelli with an overnight stay in Travel Lodge.
