10th October 2022 - Project Stalag 15 - Stop the Toby

Thought for the day :"ABBA and Elvis Costello are touring together. It’s the Abba and Costello concert … I wonder who is on first?"

Another day checking where Toby decided to go for a trot up the lane - and he is heading off far further today - going as far as the fallen tree on the top road today - and failing to come when called depsite a pocket full of treats ... Gonna have to work on this one ... 

Fence from the paddock to the woodstore was completed yesterday and seems to be effective...

But that just led him to escape by the garage and straight up the back 

so chopped the hedge back and added some more fencing  at the front ...

This also seemed to work - but did not stop him getting onto the lane and going for a walk..

So another attempt tomorrow 

But walking around the estate there are signs of Autumn and berries and flowers...

Found these fungi on trees and logs..

In other news - Susie has a new project - dehydrating fruit and stuff...

Machine arrived today - apparently you can dry almost anything and dried food has the advantage over the frozen food in that a prolonged power cut will destroy everything in a freezer - while dried food can last up to 10 years !!
