13th December 2016 - Aging Disgracefully

Thought for the day:"I planned to take over the world - but I had a nap !!"

Thoughts on aging:

“As you get older; you've probably noticed that you tend to forget things. You'll be talking with somebody at a party, and you'll know that you know this person, but no matter how hard you try, you can't remember his or her name. This can be very embarrassing, especially if he or she turns out to be your spouse.”
― Dave Barry

“Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty. But everything else starts to wear out, fall out, or spread out.”
― Phyllis Diller

“Here's to another year and let's hope it's above ground.”
― Carol ShieldsThe Stone Diaries

"Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone".
~Jim Fiebig

So.. why am I thinking about age??
The day that your daughter turns 40 is a day when you have to have a little think about where the time went... Most of it made some sense - but I suppose you can get to the stage where you have to accept that you are a Seenager  - a Senior Teenager.. Happy Birthday Nan...
