16th November 2022 -

Thought for the day :"Feeling like a Fairy Story. I huffed and I puffed and I got out of my chair"

Time for some profile changes

Went shopping today - first to get some new fairy lights for the patio - failed miserably in getting the existing ones working again - maybe a longer project than I thought ....
But also to get a few things from Tescos..
Butter!!! Country life £5 a tub ... apparently £7 a kg now
And some of the shelves were just empty !!

Not seen this since the Covid Shut-downs - and this was not the only shelf empty -

Met with Dave the Builder today and looked at the work required for the Polytunnel and possibly the car hard standing in the front and the possibility of playing with a digger !! Fun ahead!!
He is happy that he can get it down to the required areas...

And so we have the monthly update..

Pinned Post - 16th November 2022

Summer is drifting into Autumn, but the mildness of the weather means that whole parts of the garden are in confusion - and strawberries are flowering, trees are budding, and there is no idea as to how it will all end with some sharp frost in the future...

Most of our larger projects have achieved a stage  of completion, last March we did not know that we had a camping section in the lower quarter - we did not know that we had an island for excess camping. Now the ground is mainly clear.
Susie's big project for the winter is to get a good size Polytunnel in place for winter veg.
And we are getting there - having cleared an area above the orchard that should hold a 10 mtr by 3mtr polytunnel for her - Old sections of the raised beds removed today - just time for a friend to bring his digger in and level the section...
We are getting there!!
Next Opening of the Crimson Moon Tavern will be December 21-23 - mulled wine and minced pies if they are still affordable after the budget - not sure how the world will be in a few months!!
Still plenty of room for visitors
Come and see what we are doing
Iain & Susie

Cheers !
