Another hot day today but Susie managed to get her first beds completed and has planted her cabbage and re- set the leeks 

And the fine Cloches that Vicotr built - they fit the beds exactly - two to a bed...

Plenty of Apples on the trees - mostly going to waste sadly this year - next year we shall think about Cider a little earlier.

Second Paddock for the ducks and Chickens - so we can rotate them a little .. they trample the ground very quickly.

Meanwhile, I have been attempting the DIY again, and have set the frame for the concrete flooring int he machine shed - and if I say it myself it is a little heath-robinsonish - but it is flat and tested with the spirit level ...  So quite proud of myself so far ...  Going to add bottles for ballast and more hardcore tomorrow and then work out how much ballast and cement we need..

   

Ans in other news the Flame Solar lights arrived today - the ones that really cam in packs of 12 and not just pretend...  Seem to be working fine -

Trip to Vic today - seems to be settling into the new routine. all the residents love 'Thena though - clearly a break for all of them - We will have to take her every week

England sems to be closing down again and South Wales is following fast. Everyobne restoircted tot he home and no visitors but the pubs and restaurants are still open and the schools are not allowed to close. You know it makes sense. Beginning to lost patience with the whole thing.  So glad we are where we are.

Intending to make a trip to Aylesbury to take a Fridge and a chest of drawers on Wednesday. Will try to get there before they shut down as well..
