31st October 2024 - Halloween - but we are celebrating at the weekend

Rain - but mainly okay for work 

Went to dentist in Llanelli so stopped off with Chris and Vicky Madigan on the way back. Saw this lovely photo of St Ives and took some close ups for posterity - we are sure that Gray and Cathy are on the beach area.

But back to clearing enough to get the Tavern open and pushing the clock ...

29th October 2024 - Street Lighting

Thought for the day :"The new restaurant in my village is called karma. It serves just desserts"

Rain until 11am 

Managed to get some work done after 11am, so yesterday and today will class as a single work day.

But my day was used getting the lighting working properly on the gun emplacements 

Looks good though I say it myself

28th October 2024 - rain stops play but doesn't keep chickens away

Mixed day - but not enough dry to allow building work ...

But some big fungi about

and the chicks are growing

Cuthbert and Lilac look a little lost without the rest of the flock

But they still come up for their peanuts

Order of Alfred the Great followed tomorrow by the Grand Court of Athelstan

Received my Knight Commander of Alfred the Great, and made a member of the King's Council, Lieutenant of the Fyrd!
