Weather not good enough to allow the Easter Egg Hunt, though I think people gathered that was the case as last year we had about 30 kids running around the garden and there were only a few this year, but those who turned up still got a Cadbury's chocolate egg.

Some bright spells but still a smattering of rain 

But it was dry enough for Dave, Sarah and Zephyr to make the trip down with the horses.

30th March 2024 - Easter Tavern Day 2

Easter Saturday, and we are off to another good day with drinking and singing, though sadly the grounds have to remain shut due to the mud and slippy grounds.

But we were visited by the horses and as there were only two we brought them into the  main beer garden for a while.

And general fun was had by all

29th March 2024 - And the Tavern is open for Easter

So it is Good Friday and we are open to the public.

Have the existing stock of Wines and Meads - 3 kegs of Mantle Brewery ales - two Cwrw Teifi and one of Hwyl Haf - the summer ale.

And, yes we are having rain again, so experimenting with the new awning and it seems to be holding up though by the end of the evening the ground was very muddy and dogs were splashing mud all over.. Ho Hum!!

Toby has his Squeaky Toy - until he demolished it again

Another full day of rain - indeed a real downpour at one time while we were trying to prepare the Tavern for tomorrow.  But we are lucky - there was snow over Aberystwyth and up near Llangurig and even Brynhoffnant had some white stuff.

Indeed it felt cold enough for sleet and snow here - though we just had the west stuff.

Decided to put the big umbrella up and made up the last two benches to go under them .  Still being hopeful that we will have a customer or two.

Vectra is still broke - Tom and Jay say that they will come around in the morning and take it away to look at  - probably means I will not get a lie in in the morning...

repainted the bottle display and the plastic Table - sadly - Jim rubbed up against it later - but I think that we got most of it off his coat..

Baby Giraffe keeps falling over so put a plinth down for him  - see if that helps 

Sadly Crimson Moon Sign has not fared well over the last two winters - I think it was in the dry too much and then the damp as the ply has split and fallen to pieces 

Have strapped it up so we will be able to take all the parts off and put it onto a new piece of board.
