Thought for the day :"Don’t worry about getting older, you’re still going to do silly stuff, just slower"
Yes it is three years since we moved here and a lot has happened on that time.
3 years ago we were looking at an empty house and an overgrown garden - some of which we had no idea that we owned. In the three years we have managed to grow into our house - in fairness there was nothing that really needed to be done about the house, a lick of paint in the lounge as out big furniture was going in a different place to the previous owners.
The gardens has been a different issue and we are still playing with sections. But we have cleared the lower quarter which I thought was only good for dinosaurs. We found the island which was only on the map and behind a barbed wire fence. We have pathed the whole length of the garden, replacing the mud track at the bottom and the raised wooden walkways that were becoming a death trap.
Susie has her raised beds and her Polytunnel all cleared.
We have a yurt and willow fencing/hedging and you can walk all around the garden without being attacked by brambles.
We still have the eco-toilets to put in the lower quarter, the urinal, and the raised kitchen area between the cut-down ash trees. We have to put a gas shower down near the spring so it can be fed from the running water. We are half built on the tent storage area, and half complete on the kitchenette for the yurt.
The Yurt area needs to be cut right back and cleared. it is rather overgrown again.
The tractor tunnel needs to be emptied and boxes transferred to the new storage are made out of pallets.
The workshed need to be cleared again - though it is mainly there - it is covered with boxes at the moment.

Much of this will not be done before we go to Austria - but I may manage some.
Meanwhile - another month has gone by and we are still looking at the lists -but it is still worthwhile and we would look forward to showing it to you if you have not yet visited us...
