Thought for the day :"Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life out of nowhere, makes your heart race, and changes you forever. We call those people cops"
A worrying and sad day today .... A broken NHS system ... We have had such wonderful support from our local GP Practice and the local doctors and support, and even when Susie needed CT scan for her neck a few weeks ago - she at least was sorted in 9 hours - just needing a CT scan ...
But Vic had a fall yesterday evening - we had the call about 6.30pm and it seems that he had been very active in the corridors and as usual too stubborn to be careful, and he had a fall - a possible break to his hip and he was in the corridor as they could not move him and they could not give him any pain killers and could do little except look after him... Ambulance on the way - ETA 10 - 12 hours...
9.30am today - and he is still waiting for the ambulance to arrive - he has been in the corridor all night ...
an the staff have been looking after him for all this time !

12.30pm still in the ambulance
4pm - he was in A & E but he was in pain - not able to tell what was wrong nd was fetal - and they could not get him to be in a position for X-ray or CT scan....
Late evening and we are still waiting to find out if they have found if he has broken what and where he is to be admitted... So much love and so much support from people and so little that we can do ..
Messages from NHS staff who are friends who are so supportive...

[edit - successful operation and back in ward.. but in pain ...]
Will leave it here for the moment ...
Cheers
