1st December 2022 - Meeting New friends and the Return of Common Sense

A quiet day - a little bit of shopping - bought some new fairy lights for the patio area - our current ones were too bright .. I mistakenly had bought "bright" lights rather than the "warm glow" which is every where else..

No photos..  just a quiet day 

While in Cardigan , waiting for Susie to have her Specsaver appointment to get some new glasses and check out a "floater" in her other eye, I popped into the old Nat West Bank on the main road.

And here I found the 2022 Return to Common Sense campaign.

For here I met Paul and Rafe - two excellent an unique characters, artists clearly with many of their products on view, an armchair and settee and the music playing and an invite to come in and sit down.

Offered me a Cup of tea as I had a look around - did not take up on this time.. 

But a lovely background and story line and a place to pop in and visit 

They bought the Old Bank a few years ago for £200K  and from the looks it was in a a bad state of repair...

Rafe tells me that they have been open since last May - He lives in Llanarthne - not sure about Paul,
and they are just there to meet people and present local artist's work.

They tell me that they are providing a free evening of food on Christmas eve for as many as turn up - bring your own booze, and have just bought a rocking horse in case any children turn up ..

Rafe tells me that he still plays with Peter Gabriel and he is a Film director and inventor - with independent means but happy to live on small amounts. Paul has suffered a serious cycling accident (not sure if motor or other)  but is working hard on the project despite disabilities.

They have big plans - there are 10 bedrooms in the main part of the building and a whole area behind to clear for sculpture - I wish them well and will follow their progress...

Not finding Utube links at present for Rafe's claims of videos - but not really having the search criteria 

So ..
