Woke up to an horrific downpour of rain - what a terrible day - and how nice to stay in bed and not have to get up !

yup - benefits of being retired #1

So snuggled back down and left Susie to get the Chickens out and get on with her Duolingo German - which she is doing so well - she is helping me with my vocabulary now!! Never thought that would have happened!.

Needed more Growers Pellets for the fattening Chickens so went to Beulah to get that - and it was pretty cold today - may need to think about wearing shorts soon !!  Normally manage until December - but the weather for the next days may change my mind..

Ordered the Mulled wine and Spice Mead for the Christmas do - should be delivered soon...

Started looking for polycarbonate polytunnels and not sure of the quality of those I am seeing - susie is checking the reviews... 

Took the growers pellets down to the chicken house and strangely found the gate to the lower quarter open - and not just ajar - but really open . Susie doesn't think it was open when she let teh Chickens Out - but the ducks were really enjoying the springs and sooty and a number of other chicks were enjoying the extra freedom. Checked the area but could not find any sign of strangers and the Yurt seemed to be secure.. Ho Hum ..
We will watch in the future...

The solar lighting for the yurt seems to be working now after charging form the mains - so may be a lack of light to charge the battery 

In fairness got a good reply from the company who are offering a replacement battery so may take them up on this ..  

Geraniums and dahlias are getting moved to the greenhouse before the frost comes in ..

Other than that - nothing much happening here at the moment
