A bit of a change in the weather today. We started with a fairly clear day but there was rain threatening for most of the day .
We have been looking at the tavern beer garden area for a while and also noting that we are short of blue shale pebbles on the patio - ad so a plan has been developing to see where we should look to replacing the original flags pavement in the beer garden and taking away the pebbles - which would allow us to use them on the main patio rather than having to buy more ..
and so today I started clearing the shales and that means that it is full of earth and rubbish - so it has to be "panned" with a hose and a grid to get the muck off the stones ..
and I think it will be a "work in progress" as it seems that a good hour's work will get me a wheelbarrow of stone - and that means that it may be a while before the project is finished ..
But day one is done
and the stones - when cleaned can add to the patio where they are very shallow ...
