Thought for the day :"I sat drinking tea in my slippers this morning – I thought I really must wash some cups"
A day of travel and ordering ...
Popped down to Cardigan to the new Brewery - Mantle Brewery for ales for the weekend and they look quite nice - decided to get one "Rock Steady" a light session ale and a cask and a pipkin of Cwrw Teifi a darker ales at 4.5%. Will see how they go.
Had to rebuild the stillage tray as the screws I used when I built it really weren't long enough and it fell apart as I tried to put the kegs on with Susie. They are secure now and settling nicely.
Meanwhile, Lyme Bay delivered dome meads and wines for the weekend - sadly - one of the bottles of Moniack was missing - but the Meadery are willing to credit accordingly.
Managed to take some contact lenses back to Specsavers and they will be giving us a credit for the return - need to watch for the refund and check if necessary.
Also put a cheque in for Susie - her £25 winnings from her premium bonds.
Chased up some unmedicated growers pellets for the young chickens and ducks - and finally had to go to Cross Inn Wynnstay to find some - everyone seems to be out of stock..
Fabusil arrived for the sunsail - and Hermes surpassed themselves by putting it into the fence of the coal shed !! Luckily I saw it as I checked on the round tables for the weekend. Nancy still has one of the trestle tables and two benches so I amy need additional seating - hopefully - if we are busy.
Also delivered were some solar mushrooms for the lower quarter.
And also delivered were three red umbrellas for the beer garden - 2m x 3m so should be large enough if we get rain in the future without having to depend on the sun sail which to be honest is not particularly water proof yet (thus the fabusil). Photos when the tables are put out - they are under tarpaulins at the moment.
Susie finished the sewing room - turning it into a proper bedroom for Paul - bedding arriving today and tomorrow ... Should be nice.
And so another day passes and lots of running around. Took the dogs for their vaccinations and to get their worming tablets and they are both showing good signs of health. 'Thena has lost a little weight which is good for her.
Sadly Susie's Tablet still will not charge and the computer shop gave it back saying that it was too difficult to repair.
Luckily I was offered a month free Prime with amazon - so tomorrow should see the delivery of another tablet - our fifth!!! However - this one is the first that has just had a fault the other two breakages were down to my stupidity and clumsiness. Also some led light bulbs for the kitchen and bathroom - they must have a built in obsolescence as they are all failing at about the same time. May need to look at youtube to see how to get the clips to work properly to hold it in the ceiling.
(another day for adulting - but not necessarily today)
And so - the only pictures today are of Toby the Tavern Dog - with his billywig!
And so
