21st July 2021 - Cooling in the river and flowers

Thought for the day :"The church architect didn’t include a bell tower? I guess he was uninspired."

Another scorcher here in the midst of West Wales.

Up early looking for the local dump but then realised, after talking with some local ramblers, that Black Bag day is tomorrow so avoided taking smelly bags in the car.

Took a trip to Grow it Mow it and collected my chain saw which apparently needs a new fuel pipe and change of filters but was too expensive for them to repair in house - so it looks as though I may be doing another learning trick - it is broken at the moment - so I cannot make it worse - only watch some YouTube and see if I can repair it.

Took a spin around B & M and spent a fortune on bird fat balls and suet pellets - but it seems strange not having the birds at the feeders without them.

Also visited Tesco - filled the car up and got some flour and ice creams.

Rest of the day was spent not doing a lot as it was very hot - took 'Thena into the river for a splash..

Took some photos

'Thena ready to plunge into the river..

And the new Annexe is in place - though still needs some balancing to get it flat. Sadly, some more digging will be required to get to the legs ..

And the view form the annexe.

Meanwhile the roses are flowering with the Honeysuckle...

And the Nasturtiums and Delphiniums (Blue)

A lost of colour in the grounds now

There is a Dragon peeping through here

Trailer is in place ready for unloading - but as it is a piano and a harmonium it can stay there for a while ..

Gerniums (red)
and Geraniums (pink)

And dinner time in the open - temperature now dropping enough to eat outside .

A little addition from Vickie -thank you

and so another day
Cheers !
