Thought for the day :"Most Bobcats are not actually named Bob"
A really rainy day today and quite cold - I was in long trousers for the first time in about 4 months.
Late night last night with Deigh and Tara - a few bottles of wine , bottle so mead and a few beers so deserve to feel a little tired. Susie tried some Porter which was delicious but sadly did not check the label and turns out it is made with wheat so had a disrupted night.. I slept like a log as usual but got up early to let the girlies out and fill the water barrels form the river.
No photos today as it was a little miserable.
Went to Lampeter and picked up a fosterling hoglet called Jack which we have to bring up to full weight - about 360 gm at the moment and needs to feed up to 450 gm
Sadly this one will have to go back to be with its siblings - we will get one to free into the estate late r int he year .
Susie started culling the eater chickens yesterday as they cannot get out of the flap int he hen house they are so big. The first one (dressed) was 7lb 4oz and it is hardly 10 weeks old!! Second is a little lighter - but not by much ..
Nothing done in the garden today as it was wet and instead we played some guitar and sat around doing nothing ... Not sure that I can do that many times - but it is worth a try ...
All in all a quiet day - England lost the Euros to Italy - not worried was disgusted with the fans booing the Italians every time they got the ball - we don't do that in Wales in the Rugby.
reinforced why I do not watch football.
Also - while all other venues are shut down and covid safe - just watching football crowds makes me think of super spreaders ...

Glad I am in a West Wales Retreat called Ffynnon Wen
Cheers !
