12th June 2019 - Crete and North Wales - hoping the latter is the wetter

Thought for the day :"A bloke on a tractor has just driven past me shouting "the end of the world is nigh"!! I think it was Farmer Geddon"

So - looking at flights to Crete.. found a trip to Crete for 10 days for £169 including almost ten pounds for booking seats. Okay - Will have to park the car at Gatwick which will probably be as much again - but we can go for a small car for hire.

So we will be off from the 30th October to the 9th November 2019...   Not bad really!!

And another trip to North wales completed. Flint in the rain !!! A wet journey all things considered but still nice to drive up through the middle of wales. The Newtown by-pass makes a huge difference - cutting off almost a half hour in time now there are no road works.

No photographs this time - was too wet - though some of the flooded fields would have been good to take. Sadly - the only lay-bye that seemed near the floods had too many trees covering the view.
