17th July 2024 - Pond Fixing and Drive Clearing

Up and walked the dogs with a surprisingly rare sunny day on the lane 

But thought it was very hot - the pond was drying enough to tackle the job that we have been putting off for 3 years !!   Filling the leaks in the pond.

Partly, I used the special sealing paste that is used for Coy ponds and it worked very well - though it went off so quickly that it was difficult to work with . But moving one stone I found that the gap was far too large for the sealant so I mixed up some standard cement and tried to seal with that.

Can't tell until tomorrow if it has sealed dry enough - but there  is still a little of the special sealant to use if necessary ...

Despite the heat - had a go at another few branches overhanging the drive and filled up another ballast bag - will have to drag them to Gully Foyle tomorrow - ran out of energy today ..
