Another miserable day to end September 
Rainy and cold...
Trip to Doctor to discuss shortness of breath (been putting it off for over a year), and looked in on the Nursery to price roses (good prices) for Susie's Rose and Lavender bed...

Sad morning as something got in to the duck house - possibly a mink - we think too large for a rat and bit the necks of Tesco, killing her, mutilating Novochok so she had to be put down and injuring Oozle and Ondle though they look as though they may survive. 

Took the roofing panels off as it looks as thought he rats have been using the ceiling, and Susie built an inner duck house which we hope will protect them. We shall see tomorrow.  

As a result I did not do any more on the Tavern and Tunnel ..
It will still be there tomorrow.

And it was cold enough to light a fire this evening - the first of the year
