3rd April 2020 - Still no sign of a move

Thought for the day :"The drop in price of petrol in this lock down is like a bald man winning a comb!!"

LINK JOHNS HOPKINS

Well - Ffynnon wen is ready to go apparently, but nothing heard so far from Hengistbury - will try to chase today..   Update on Chase: Tracy - the current conveyancer is not working for the company at the moment - sounds as though she has been put on furlough ...
Phone to the office reveals that the seller's solicitor sent queries on 31st March regarding ouptstanding queries over the water and the early building regulations for the extension ... both of which were responded to on the 4th March. Seems My solicitors thought that they had answered everything and the seller's solicitor thought they were waiting for information and nothin is happening ....   Been assured that we will inform the other solicitor that all questions have been answered and that we are ready to go !!!

Called the builder and told him - he thought that the government had closed down all conveyancing - told him this was not the case - just advised against moving !! Latest advice form my solicitor is to make sure that time between exchange and completion be as short as possible to prevent penalties...  Nothing more - He says he will chase his solicitors - we can only hope and keep fingers crossed.

And so your daily Trump..

Would be funny if it was not scary ...

In better news the NHS Nightingale hospital has been built in 9 days and opens today.. East London's ExCeL exhibition centre, which normally plays host to lifestyle shows, expos and conferences, has been converted into the temporary NHS Nightingale hospital, with space for 4,000 beds.

In nine days, the 87,328 square metres of double exhibition halls, have been fitted out with the framework for more than 80 wards, each with 42 beds. Some 500 fully-equipped beds, with oxygen and ventilators, are already in place and there is space for another 3,500.

Timelapse Version

Hoping that it will not come to it - but looking bad.

In other news decided to donate the rotovator to Castle Farm with Angel Timms on a sort of long term loan basis - so that we can use it at any time in the future if we decide we need it - but it can stay in Carmarthen where it will get more use...

It is not doing anything for us at the moment. we were going to hang on to it - but it will only take up more space so can be better put to use that way ...

In other news - we are on to Day 7 of the song challenge - something to drive to ....

And with those  thoughts...

Cheers !
