18th March 2020 - Panic Buying and Knockout

Thought for the day :"The three unwritten rules of life are;
1.
2.
3."

So - there is still panic buying...

the Self Preservation Society

But it may be time to start stock piling...

But birthdays still happen...

Though even this may be too big a group now !!!

Effectively self isolating without really trying at the moment .. Mainly the effect of the closure of the Masonic Meetings and the Choir stopping... Susie is off to brave the shops this morning to see if there is anything there.

I managed to get my drugs from the Chemist yesterday - it seems that their systems are falling apart. The automatic re-ordering of the prescription (statin for Cholestrol and Avortastin for Blood Pressure) failed and the form had not gone in. As I had taken my last tablet they pushed it through - but when I returned the next day I had to wait in line for an hour as they filled the prescription.
All the staff were in masks and continuously wiping the counters down. Everyone waiting was a meter from each other. You could feel the stress levels from the staff..
The surgery itself was shut with the door locked and each individual had to know to be allowed access. Not a time to be ill with a common ailment I think.

Still, managed to scan the last of the Knockout Photographs - ready for a nostalgic website / Facebook Page  to go up - Memories of the NSPCC Knockout or similar.

 Cheers !
