1st December 2016 - First in 823 years? Nope!

So they say that this December there are five Mondays, five Saturdays and five Sundays. Apparently this onl;y happens once in every 823 years. It is termed "Moneybags" - I suppose mainly for those who were paid weekly !!

Sadly, I checked and it is an urban myth..  Good old Snopes tells me :
"Before you get too excited about this once-in-a-lifetime event and start telling your family and friends, know this: any such claims are false. Special combinations of days like 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays occur much more often than every 823 years!"

So - before you spread this myth - have a check - in fact it is best to do so with almost everything you find on the internet - especially social media. I always recall that famous quote

Oh - and white rabbits ..
