30th July 2026 - MOT on Camper and starting to prepare for trip

Thought for the day :"All those who volunteered to help with this forestry clearance project...come up and take a bough."

Wet

A rush around today. Dave hadn't realised that the camper was Class 7 when he booked it into the MOT on Tuesday, so it had to go to Crymych for 9am this morning. Sadly, the tested was unable to arrive until 10.30 so it was a work day for Dave and he had to head on to sort out some Goat Milking Sheds for the Parslers.
That left Zephyr and me to go and collect some 8x4 chip sheets and some plastic stuff...
And then we had to wait to see if the Camper passed the NOT
This is a little close to the deadline of "let's leave for Germany on Saturday"

But all was well and mid afternoon we got the notification that the MOT was clear and that we could lick it up - so I headed off to do so.
On the return I noticed that Tesco was 10p cheaper than other petrol stations at 167.79, and when I popped in to get some spread for breakfast I saw that they were also doing a 5p off per litre if you spent over £60...
So two bottle of scotch and a Harvey's Bristol Cream, and a Bottle of Proseco for an evening with Spot and Charlie..  and £90 of diesel ready to go in the Camper.

Started finding "stuff" to take ...  Will do the rest tomorrow

Also had Dewi and the Bois come to strim the Island this morning - the three of them were only here for about 25 minutes but they did a good job and £60 well spent

Walked the dogs and the Balsam is taking over the Bridge area..

Cheers
