17th June 2026 - Working with Chris

Thought for the day :"I’ve decided that as from next week l am going to dress as a different type of bread every day. Roll on Monday.."

Dry

So Job no 1 was to get a proof of concept for redirecting the river.
We managed to get a steel pole into the ground so as to allow us to stack some logs to redirect the flow
There were guest in the Romany Caravan so we decided not to spoil their day with the nose of the thumper.

Then it was back to the paddock. Chris did his best bit of work getting the bonfire burning hot enough to take the greenery, and clearing all the brush from the fallen trees. I started on clearing the peacock enclosure as a precursor to erecting the new aviary.

A lot of shrubbery there - but Susie wants to keep the elderberry bush until the birds have had the berries
Progress

And a bonfire

And cleared

New perches for Fabio and Gina

And the cardboard is gone form the machine shop which I can actually use again

Another day - but very tired again
Need the evening to get a Solstice Poster together for the weekend

Cheers
