26th March 2019 - Starting a Trailer Project

Thought for the day :"If you write your poetry backwards, is it inverse?"

Saw a friend post..
"I'm going to start telling people I voted for Trump! It's less embarrassing than admitting I'm British!"

Saw this and thought - Oh yes ... I will never be a good grandfather I think ...

A woman in a supermarket is following a grandfather, who is wearing a veterans badge and a RN association tie, and his badly behaved 3 year old grandson. It's obvious to her that he has his hands full with the child screaming for sweets in the sweet aisle, cookies in the biscuit aisle and for fruit, cereal and pop in the other aisles.
Meanwhile, the Naval veteran is working his way around, saying in a controlled voice, "Easy, Tommy, we won't be long . . . easy, boy."
Another outburst and she hears the veteran calmly say: "It's okay, Tommy, just a couple more minutes and we'll be out of here. Hang in there, boy."
At the checkout, the little terror is throwing items out of the trolley and Grandpa says again in a controlled voice, "Tommy, Tommy relax buddy, don't get upset. We'll be home in five minutes, stay cool, Tommy boy.
Very impressed, the woman goes outside where the Naval veteran is loading his shopping and the boy into the car. She says to the elderly man, "It's none of my business, but you were amazing in there. I don't know how you did it. That whole time you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying 'things would be okay...Tommy is very lucky to have you as his grandpa. Was it your Naval training that helped you in this difficult situation"
"Thanks," said the the old veteran, "but I'm Tommy, This little sh*t's name is Billy.

Two days until the Consecration...  still got a head in the book.

Bought some wood yesterday and the fittings to start on the trailer - we will see what sort of mes I get into.

Cheers!
