7th December 2024 - Power Off and Storm Continues

Wet - Very - Storm Darragh meant to peak at 11am - still raging

Sad day - the gardens near the house are fairly untouched thank goodness but the lower area at the Paddock and Lower Quarter are completely changed due to the loss of the main trees.

Going to have to rethink the design for the gardens completely I think.

At this stage it does not look feasible to clear - but as Dave will say "it is what it is!"

But the waterfall works well

But to look on the bright side - the house was not hit, the Yurt escaped, the Chicken Houses and Peacocks were not hit.

Sadly the giant Red Acer is split at the base.. But Tree Peony and Tree heather survive.
