Had to mend my walking stick after a collision with Ted and Toby 
Glued - now to melt the hosepipe around the join - but secure so far..

6th November 2023 - Rainbows, Acers, Ciders and planks

Thought for the day :"I have an unpredictable camera.. it is a loose Canon."

Mixed day really...

Susie having some problems with her diverticulitis and popped into Newcastle Emlyn to get some drugs for her and some Probiotic tablets ...   Never realised that they would be so expensive!!  £20 for a pack of fifty.  So pleased to be in wales with free prescriptions for most things.

Took my laptop to the computer shop for repair and would you believe it it worked first off so brought it back home where it promptly ceased to work again !!  Ho Hum .

Will take it back again next time and leave it then ...

Had some lovely rainbows on the way home - which is another way to say that it rained hard on the road back!!

But got down to the lower quarter for an hour and took some nails out of planks ready to do some walkways and steps later in the week...

And cannot get over the colour in the Red Acer

Meanwhile - Susie has been clearing her Cider ...  and it is really clear and crisp 
ready for bottling soon

5th November 2023 - Salad Days

Lazy Sunday

Apart from walking the dogs I have achieved very little..

But since we had the ASDA delivery that wasn't updated (thus was from a few weeks ago when the sun was out and we were still eating salads) we decided that some cold meats and salad would be appropriate for a Sunday Lunch.

And we had some of Charlie's Cucumber Chutney to go with it - made from some of our cucumbers - and very ice it was too.

 

The bags of stone are still calling ...

Seems I have sold something on Bandcamp - hope  someone enjoyed 

Not going to get rich quick though ...

Did a little admin for Athelstan - and that is about it for one day ...

4th November 2023 - Birthdays and AMD

Thought for the day :"Met a rather fat psychic today, he was a four-chin teller."

So Friday Night was Birthday Night for Angie, and everyone seemed to appreciate ..

And Cutting the cake

But today was a trip to Pontyclun for the Allied Masonic Degrees Provincial Meeting

And an enjoyable day too - with a wonderful support from across the country.

Andy collected some bottles after the meeting - sadly could not join him as a long drive back

3rd November 2023 - Preparing a Birthday Party

Thought for the day :"I’ve been thinking about taking up meditation. I figure it’s better than sitting around doing nothing"

Playing with the BT Hub today - trying to get the network running out to the Tavern again 

so far I have two discs linking - will see how the rest go soon 

Walked the dogs with Ted and Ned - I reckon that they should be pretty exhausted the amount of running they did and I left my walking stick at Johnny's after trying to retrieve the dogs when they did a runner.

Ducks need cleaning - so I had better do that before finishing this ...

Ducks cleaned and Tavern Night for Angie all set up

2nd November 2023 - Halloween Family

Thought for the day :"I was going to tell a joke about construction but I’m still working on it."

Really stormy today - though the rain is holding off for the moment - but it is bitterly cold.

Looked out of the kitchen windiow - and now that the hedges have been trimmed casn see up to the trees where the Kites gather - and today because of the storms there are in excess of  20 roosting int he trees.

Popped out to take a photograph and of course they all disapperaqex into the trees - but they are there - just wish we had food to throw and we could get a real show...

Having celebrated Halloween - some pictures were posted of family which I will keep here for historical perspective...

1st November 2023 - White Rabbits and Colourful landscape

And another month starts - November - where is the year going ?

Not much achieved today - cleared the tavern area though we are going to have a party for Ange on Friday - but Storm something beginning with C is heading our way - so I have taken the flags down and put the tables away ....

But it is cold and wintery - but there is still so much colour out there
