7th March 2021 - A Walkway - or not !!

Thought for the day:"I feel very strongly about graffiti in toilet cubicles so I've signed a partition..."

Slow Sunday..

We tried to find a new walk around the village and it seems that as with many local pathways - the public right of way has been removed...  We will keep looking ...

Walking down the lane passed the Romany Cottage - Rachael and her partner are here to try to fix up a bit before the season opens..

Fynon Brithdir - Charley and Spot  - turn right up the road into the village,,

Further up the lane - but no sign of the pathway we are looking for ..

Still looking - but nothing today - will have to revisit this one ...

And so - another day - Amyltriptolene and wine seems to be giving some sleep relief..

6th March 2021 - Ducks !

Thought for the day :"It’s probably my age that tricks people into thinking I’m an adult."

A mix and match day today.

Sunny and fine - which was not helpful to the light sensitive eyes...

More important it was a day to be in the hands of the NHS again - Vic is still in A & E waiting for a bed and a ward... Manged to find some things to take for him - but no access allowed into the hospital.

Neighbours from the Romany Caravan came to see what they could do to service the holiday home. They had a leak and a valve go - but no real damage by all accounts...

Seems strange not to be the local helpful neighbour - but that will come later on in the year.

Drove to Carmarthen and Susie bought me an eye patch - never was one for Apple Products - still had problems with the light. Pain and discomfort on the scalp is a little less - but still a little miserable.

But that is my moan for the day - after all - if you have a blog you may as well use it to have a little moan...

5th March 2021 - Hospitals

Friday - sunny and fine 

Booked a Covid test for Vic in Carmarthen for 2pm - but as we drove there we had a call from Cwm Awr that they could not get him dressed and that he was very faint and just wanted to sleep. Sadly he is very de-hydrated ...   Susie managed to go in with the carer's and we arranged for the Doctor to visit..

Next thing we hear is that the ambulance has been and he is on the way to Carmarthen.

It would have been nice to have been told that the doctor had responded - had attended - had made some decisions regarding his safety and requirments... but at the end of the day at least he is getting the cover he needs.

Called the Hospital and gave our details and waiting for midnight to see what they have planned - but there is nothing that we can do at this stage ..

4th March 2021 - Clearing the springs...

Thought for the day:" I'm sure I saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame yesterday... If it wasn't him, it was a dead ringer..."

Was a slow day for me - but Susie has been out attacking the grounds all day..

As such I do not have any photos to show for it ...

But here she is clearing the lower springs..

3rd March 2021 - Teapots, Trolls and Famous People

Thought for the day:"My wife is always mocking my love of Japanese rice wine. I'm fed up with her sake comments..."

I had a visit to Specsavers - and sadly they are not a prescribing optician in Cardigan. So had to buy the eye gel from the Pharmacist!! Seems that I am mainly okay though there is surface damage to the cornea  which may be due to the eyelid sticking to the dry eye...

It is time to think about getting the tea set out for the robins... 

In other news...

Rainy day today - though Susie braved the weather to try to plug the leak in the Troll Pond .... we shall see what happens.. She also managed to do some planting in the Greenhouse...

1st March 2021 - Happy St David's Day...

Sunny day - another month starts and still a lot of discomfort but working through it..

Ordered another load of wood today - should last us through - though that is what I said of the last lot!

All barrowed away - though it took a lot out of us today.. well me anyway..

Back to the Pharmacy - am on amitriptyline and cocodomol now. Also got myself some eye-wash as the itch is still very annoying...

I am limiting screen time as it is hurting the eyes so not much more today ...
