9th January 2026 - After the Storm

Thought for the day :"Couldn't decide whether to stay in hospital for a hip replacement or go home for my favourite fish dinner. It was a missed op or tuna tea"

Wet

Dodged some rainy snowy bits and took the dogs om my own as the pathway is so muddy now that Scarlett slipped yesterday and landed on her nose - hurting her knees.

I had a few close shaves myself as we crossed the fields.

Meanwhile - on the homestead - think this tree is leaning more than it did before - can't be sure..

The River is much higher due to the snow and rain ..

By the Yurt, the river has broken the banks again.

But in the paddock, we have lost another tree - to be fair it was already leaning on another tree but we will have to start reducing again .

Last day with Scarlett and Bunnie here - we will have an early start tomorrow to catch a train hopefully from Carmarthen though they are not running today !
