Thought for the day :"Mality. Mality. Mality. Mality. Right, that's the formalities over with..."

No Photos today - have a car full of music kit and LARP kit.
But we have the 16th of the month summary ...
Pinned Post - 16th January 2026
Into 2026, another year and it is beginning to feel as though we have been here forever.
My normal anniversary posts relate to how long it is since our lives changed and we arrived at Ffynnon Wen and our new existence.
2026 and the New Year seems to be an appropriate time to rethink about changing the narrative.
In fairness this time of the year is one where we are in our Hibernating phase - and a look at the last few years posts confirms this. We will spring forward as time moves forward. We seem to have had more rain this years and more darkened days, which may be true but the cycle of life will move on. We see the new daffs and bluebells pushing through the ground, even where we have taken the digger and buried plants too deep.
I have 50 daffs ready to plant, and 30 tulips, all of which should ave been in the ground three months ago.
I have trees that should have been reduced a year ago and the land is a quagmire..
This too shall pass I have no doubt. But it is difficult to see it at this time of year.
But we are warm and have plenty of wood for the wood burner. Solar is of little use at this time of year, but every little helps, and the kitchen fire is burning coal 24/7, but life will soon pass form the sleepy days to more active times.
Starting looking at the dates and commitments for the year. W now know our dates for opening the Tavern, Easter, May Bank Holidays, Solstice, Mid Summer, August BH, Oktoberfest and Halloween.
We also have our Texan Band visiting us again, and I am looking at some other local bands to play as well.
We have a wedding to plan and a 50th Birthday weekend, and possibly a Martial Arts weekend,
Could prove to be a busy time.
We are also open for visitorsCheers - Iain & Susie
Cheers
