4th October 2025 - Failed to rescue a Raptor

Thought for the day :"With all this wind I'm worried about the caravan in our garden! We didn't have one yesterday."

Wet 

Putting the girlies to bed last night Toby suddenly woofed at something by the Flame tree. Sitting at the foot of  the tree was this little fellow - completely still.

Managed to find a box and lifted it into it and it hardly struggled.

(Not to self - wear gloves next time you pick up a Raptor as the claws are VERY sharp and they do not want to let go afterwards)

Contacted Raptor care and put it into the box to stay warm and dry .

Had a nasty growth over one eye or a swelling - not sure which - looked more like a swelling 

Did flap a little in the box 

Sadly, did not survive the night

Totally wet today - managed to get a quick walk with Toby before it started tipping down again.

So, working on the computer and clearing some more photo galleries - up to November 2022 

May have a while to go
