11th October 2025 - Taking Lights down in the lower Quarter

Walked Ziggy and Toby this morning and it remains deceptively warm for the time of year ...

Then back to an ongoing project - rescuing the lights for the lower quarter. A number of branches have come down on them and the brambles have grown through and many are full of water - so it is a case of checking all the connections, insulating the bad wiring, checking all the bulbs and replacing those that require changing. Not difficult work - just takes a long time - but done in hte ens.

They will stay in the shed until Spring

Then a check of the yurt and tried to get the fire lit - well it is lit if you look closely you can see the smoke coming out of the chimney - but without the firelighters the wood did not catch properly 

maybe tomorrow and project wire the yurt  

Sausage egg and chips for dinner in the air fryer - works very well
