22nd March 2023 - Rain stops Polytunnel

Thought for the day :"It is a good ambition to be content enough to enjoy the scenery on a detour."

Managed to get out and start sorting the pieces for the next stage of erection of the Polytunnel
Susie wants to get the doors sorted and I have been looking at the ends -

Good friend Jim (the Pipe) popped back with another socket set for us to try to get a 7mm for the nuts - and then I found two more sets and the one that we lost yesterday was stuck on one of the bolts !!
So we seem to have enough now

However, Susie had a migraine and decided to try to do some work on her sewing so I went out to see if I could make any sense of the instructions. Managed to find the right pieces (I hope) and did a fair bit of the first end
Susie came out to join me and started on the doors and then the skies opened and haven't really stopped since.
So we decided to have a cup of tea !!

Still working through the offers and quotations for solar panels...  no-one seems to be able to agree on what is the best way. get the feeling of a time share offer presentation ..   just saying

WOOD !  Called another supplier - they want £250 for 2 cu m plus 5% VAT
That is over double what I have been paying !
First supplier wants £150 for one builders' bag - which is 0.8 cu m

Not really sure what to do - I have a lot of pine and some old leylandii but not sure what effect they will have on the chimneys as they are meant to have a lot of oil in the sap ..  but it all seems excessive.
Will look around tomorrow and have to start thinking properly about storing the current logs under cover...  maybe need some more pallets ?

So only a picture from the kitchen window today - the daffs are flowering as well as the snow bells

Cheers !
