21st January 2023 - Mending the Flag Pole

Thought for the day :"If the USA is so good why did they have to invent the USB?"

A bit of wind and the old flag pole snapped in the middle - but the appliance of gaffa tape and some metal; rods seems to have done the trick..
Will have to replace the Illuminati flag when we have the staff training in Feb...
Not sure how long the Ukrainian flag will last either - probably not as long as the war in Ukraine continues...

another day ...

Cheers !

20th January 2023 - Spring is sprung - well sort of

Thought for the day :"Don’t brush your teeth with your left hand – a toothbrush is more efficient"

Morning walk today and the snow has gone and you can see the daffodils and the blue bells and snow drops trying to push their way up  through the soil...

Still a little bit wet !!

Cheers !

16th January 2023 - Spring and Posters

Thought for the day :"Boomerang jokes are making a come back ..."

Called in Beulah this morning to order some coal - arrived before lunchtime !!!  That's service for you ..
Interesting that the coal has gone up from £6.80 a bag to £10 a bag in a year - he tells me that some areas are now charging £20 and he has no idea how it will be next year but he still has some stock....

Walked the dogs and took a couple of pictures to capture spring in Ffynnon Wen - forecast suggest snow before the end of the week

Down in the lower quarter - sprouting

and out walking across the fields

In other news, my posters arrived for the Crimson Moon for open days ...
Quite happy with them ...

And Cheers !

15th January 2023 - Clearing Molehills and planning anniversary

Thought for the day :"The oldest and first computer was in the garden of Eden. It was an apple with very limited memory – just 1 byte and everything crashed"

Walking the dog today and decided to recycle the mole-hills into my tulip bed on the lower quarter
Seems I am a bit out of practise with the digging and it took a little longer than I thought to get a barrow together... A little each day ...

molehills getting muddied over

grass will grow again I suppose..

and off to the lower quarter

Sent off to Austria today to book for the 9th to 12th August in Tulfes.
Also sent some photos for their interest ...

Yup - kid with the hat !!

And the top of the Glungezer

walking up the mountain the hard way
(We went by tractor in those days)

Cheers !
