20th February 2022 - Selling a Trailer

Thought for the day :"Doctor told me to pick two alcohol free days – I have chosen Feb 30th and Sept 31st"

Decided that it may be time to consider selling the box trailer.

A couple of reasons - 

a) that it has done its job and moved us and I do not see a real need now 

b) it is taking up a lot of room 

c) I cannot back it into the drive with the Landie - I know - a confession,  but I cannot get the angle right and we had to push it in last time and that is a bind

d) it looks as though it should be worth about £1,500 which is not insignificant 

so here are some pictures for the record..

18th february 2022 - Power Cut - No service

Thought for the day :"Saw a microbiologist today – He was much bigger than I expected"

So power cuts and having to get the old gas burners out and making toast on the wood fire

With a week of power cuts and rain and storm - I have a few photos but other than that I shall be playing catch up over the next couple of days

16th February 2022 - And a Birthday

Thought for the day :"I have an iron deficiency. My shirts are really creased and my trousers need pressing"

And so it is my Birthday and our second anniversary of puting an offer in for this house.

It has been a stormy day and I took all the flags down and took the Dragon Skull off the Tavern as it blew over last time.

A trip into Newcastle Emltyn so Susie could buy some more brushes to finish some of her paintings.. but it was shut as it was Wednesday afternoon despite the Google search showing that it was open until 5pm.

But it was a trip out and proved that the Landie is still starting - though still very slowly 

A walk with the Dogs dodging the rain and it is clear that we are about to flower over the place. Daffodils and Snow drops are finally out - though there may still be a cold spurt to come. we just have Storms for the next three days though temperatures will still be quite warm.

But some Photos from yesterday show that things are growing...

15th February 2022 - Sprouting

Thought for the day :"I quit my job after my boss started paying me with vegetables. I couldn't live off that celery."
