18th June 2026 - Driving Lessons and Beer

Thought for the day :"In my vinyl collection I have a disc by Long John Silver singing "Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum" . It's a very rare pirate copy."

Wet

So as I head off to give Zephyr a driving lesson, and then pop back to Cardigan to pick up two kegs of Cwrw Teifi and some Tesco supplies that we were short of , Susie has been working her little socks off in the garden clearing the paths - and they really needed clearing!

The top terrace

and we have some pears

second terrace

Rose Garden

both sides

The path down to the gooseberries, which incidentally the squirrels have stripped over the last four days.
Four days ago we said we had to collect the gooseberries before the squirrels got them - went there today and they were all gone !

Down by the pontoon - two big bags of greenery to move to Gully Foyle

Sad news tonight - learned of the passing of Brother Martin - Martin Gelling - the inspiration behind a lot of what we have done in the Crimson Moon

He had not been well for a few years after a stroke, and later he had suffered from dementia, vascular disease etc…. He’d unfortunately been bed bound for the past 8 months and slowly everything just shut down until he’s had enough….  A sad end.

Brother Martin

Cheers
