Seems hard to believe that we have been here in Ffynnon Wen for over five and a half years, and how things have changed in that time. Our first year July to July was a time of clearing the old house and the warehouse, a task that seemed never ending, constant trips between Llanelli and Rhydlewis, through the struggle of Covid, trying to find places to clear furniture, and all the accumulated "stuff" that had been gathered over 50 years! It seemed an impossible project but we got there.
Then there were the gardens, so overgrown that our first two years were years of exposure and discovery. Then additions, the Tavern completed, Polytunnel, the Yurt, trailer tent, camping platforms and tents, the recovery of the lower quarter and feeding the giraffes. A shower block and long drop toilet, and this year we will be holding our first Wedding reception, a 50th Birthday Party and 8 openings of the Tavern for Charity, including two bands booked so far.
Life changed for everyone over Covid. It was a change of location, direction, enthusiasms, and life style for us.
