30th September 2025 - Still no sign of the Peahen

29th September 2025 - Peahen on the run

Thought for the day :"Man shot by a starting pistol and beaten with a relay baton... May be race related."

Decided to take down the lights in the lower quarter as they had been broken in at least two places and were filling up with water .

Decided that they will not really be used between now and Spring so better to put away 

First set repaired and bulbs drilled to let the water out ..

Sadly - one of the Peahen has disappeared.  We cannot see where she got out but a walk all around the area has not found her .

Sadly also one of the new White Chickens was not around to be put away this evening - One on the perch and two more had to be directed back to the coop  but no sign on the third - fingers crossed that she is up in a tree somewhere ...

We shall see tomorrow 

Took one keg back to Mantle today and paid the bill. 

Bought another bag of mixed corn for the girls.

Local Ju Jitzu club did their annual log run today. I had cleared the paths for them on the Donkey Trail the other day so they had a straight run.

25th September 2025 - St Teilo - 100th Year starts

Thought for the day :" I had two parrots helping in the kitchen shredding vegetables and cheeses. They have disappeared. I miss migrating birds"

24th September 2025 - Tilly Trip

Thought for the day :"I am struggling with the weights in the gymn but I will persevere. I am here, all weak"

A trip to see Nancy and on the way back we dropped into Clunderwen to see Tilly who has now had her first jabs and been chipped. A friendly little creature she is as well.

Back home and an hour of squeezing apples gave us another 3 gallons of apple juice for cider.

May need to get some more tomorrow

Now 8 gallons of cider on the go and 1 gallon of Perry..

And the straps arrived from Amazon so the tree is properly strapped up again now - will still have to prune it but at least it is not toppling over now
