Thought for the day :"“I told the Inland Revenue I don’t owe them a penny because I don't live inland - I live by the seaside.”
Wet (though dry most of the day - tipped down this evening)
2025 : Wet 28 : Dry 28
Walked the dogs up to Halwen Hall and enjoyed a bit of sunshine
Took some pictures of the dragons with the snow-bells and Daffs
Susie cleared the driveway waterway, and I went to Only Pets and Ponies for chopped wheat for chicken bedding and some dog chews.
Met with a lady called Julie who has just moved into Pentrecwrt and has problems as her lorry is stuck off the drive and she needs a delivery of hay before her horses arrive next weekend.
Shared Whatsapp numbers and will see if I can find her some and someone to deliver - good deed for the day. Has a lovely chocolate collie - four year old - haven't seen that exact colour before - reminded me of Rusty but darker
In other news:-
this afternoon we suddenly heard a great crash on the lane above the house , and we headed out thinking that maybe someone had fallen foul of the road subsidence.. It seems that an EVRI driver ( or similar) had moved to the left at the bollards and had hit some trees that were sticking out - and this had ripped the Luton section of the van - which is fibreglass - but had taken the whole corner out.

So after they took the necessary pictures for their insurance, I took my trusty chainsaw up and managed to get another wheel barrow full of logs - as if I needed them at the moment ...
Cheers !
